5 Awesome Places to Eat in Cranston

5 Awesome Restaurants in Cranston

Helping my clients buy and sell houses makes me hungry and I like to eat. Whether on a quick lunch break or going out with my wife and family, these 5 places are my go to places to eat in Cranston.

Twin Oaks – my favorite restaurant in Cranston

Twin Oaks – started as a speak easy and a small 60 seat restaurant in 1933, Twin Oaks is now the largest independent food service operation in Rhode Island with 3 bars, 6 dining rooms, 650 seats and over 120 employees. They can accommodate parties of any size with ease, the food is fantastic and the service is excellent. Personal favorites are the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail, the Bacon Wrapped Scallops, and T-Bone Special. Great desserts, cocktails, and Italian and American cuisine. Closed on Mondays. This is my favorite place to eat in Cranston.

Uncle Tony’s is my first go to. I love everything they make.

Uncle Tony’s – Uncle Tony’s Family Style Restaurant on Oaklawn Avenue is a great place for lunch or dinner. Great pizza, soup, sandwiches, fries, sauce to go, chicken tenders, salads, pasta entrees, always hot and ready fast. Great service for dining in and very fast and efficient for takeout. My favorites are the Hot Italian Grinder, and a pepperoni pizza with extra pepperoni (TONS of pepperoni!) Uncle Tony’s is one of my favorite lunch stops when I’m looking to get something to eat in Cranston.

Chelos on Reservoir Ave. in Cranston

Chelo’s Hometown Bar & Grille – I can remember going to Chelo’s on Reservoir Avenue with my parents when I was a little kid. They have the best bugers in Rhode Island, a large selection of appetizers, sandwiches, and entrees on their American bar and grille style menu, ample seating for large parties, full bar, tv’s for the game, plenty of parking, and reasonable prices. For as long as I can remember, Chelo’s has been a great place to get something to eat in Cranston.

So glad I found this place

Stadium Fish and Chips – Only opened for a limited time from Wednesday through Saturday. This place is a must try if you like fried seafood, fish and chips, fisheman’s platter w/fried clams, scallops, and shrimp, clam cakes, fish cakes, and they even do some nice fried chicken tenders. Just be warned, you’re bound to get an urge to try them again on a Sunday and be forced to wait until Wednesday to have some more of that fantastic seafood. If I want some seafood to eat in Cranston, Stadium Fish and Chips is my first choice.

A fine cheese and pepperoni from Cranston House of Pizza

Cranston House of Pizza – A great place to go for some pizza, wings, and beer, and hang out after the game or to watch the big game on TV. Also a great place to order pizza and wings for the kids delivered to the house when mom doesn’t feel like cooking and/or dad is planning on taking her out for the night. Cranston House of Pizza has a large, comfortable dining area, they serve beer and wine, and have tv’s for the game. A great place to grab a slice and a sandwich or a whole pie to eat in Cranston.
